One day when Donald woke up he saw something terrible. The queen and the king lay on the floor. Someone had killed them. Who could the murderer be?

The prince tried to remember:

‘Yesterday, Aunt Anne visited us. Nobody except for her could have seen the assassination, because the neighbors weren’t at home. But why wouldn’t my aunt try to help my parents if they were in trouble?’

That day, his mother hid the little Lucky Prince in a dark, crowded wardrobe as if she had known that Anne was evil. He had been crying for two days before the arrival of his aunt. The prince was afraid of his aunt in spite of the fact that she had brought him up. The reason for his being scared was that Anne was very ugly, she looked like a witch.

Lucky Donald had his 10^th birthday then. Anne was really strange. She wanted to give Donald a sword as a present, but before giving it to him, she said:

‘This is your present, my dear.’

Donald knew something was wrong with her. His first thought was that she wanted to murder somebody with the sword. He was right.

His aunt threw the weapon towards him instead of giving it to him but she didn’t manage to hit him. Instead, a portrait of a beautiful woman fell down. Donald screamed and ran away. He had always known that he was a lucky, very lucky prince.

Later that day, as Donald was going along the street, he saw a black cat. It was cute and very thin. He felt sorry for the kitten. Donald called him Shadow. The prince took it home and hid it in the cellar. He wanted to win time because he was making a plan.

Next day he attacked his aunt and put her in prison.

Now the prince is rich and successful, he lives in a quiet house with his family; a wife and five children. The old castle has been rebuilt recently and some workmen have found a treasure chest there. Anne is still in prison but it serves her right. The action of murdering the parents of Lucky Donald couldn’t remain unpunished. Yes, you guessed it right: Donald realized that Aunt Anne only wanted to visit his family to kill all of them. Well, she failed in murdering him, the Lucky Prince. And revenge was sweet as the scent of roses.
